Officials say Lewisville Lake OK despite sewage leak

An estimated 9 million gallons of untreated sewage leaked over the last two weeks from a Frisco pipe into a creek feeding Lewisville Lake, a recreation hotspot and key source for drinking water in North Texas.

State environmental inspectors expect no health risks from the spill, which originated from a broken sewer line under the Dallas North Tollway near Main Street.
